Another civilian has reportedly lost his life in North Waziristan after alleged tip-offs provided by facilitators linked to Fitna al-Khawarij.
According to local sources, prominent tribal elder and social figure Malik Naseebzada, a resident of Spinwam’s Shewa area in North Waziristan, was abducted and later brutally killed by militants affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij. His body was later handed over to local elders by the attackers.
Sources said Malik Naseebzada was among the tribal personalities who had openly opposed the destructive activities of Khawarij militants in the Shewa and Malik Shahi areas. He had reportedly taken a strong stance against the militants during local jirgas, particularly after the group allegedly destroyed a bridge in the area and targeted a water supply line.
Local sources further stated that due to repeated threats from the militants, Malik Naseebzada had temporarily shifted to Islamabad. However, upon returning to his native village during Eid holidays, he was allegedly abducted by the militants and later killed.
Sources also claimed that facilitators present among the local population informed the militants about Malik Naseebzada’s return to the area during Eid.
The incident has once again raised concerns regarding the presence of local facilitators allegedly providing shelter, logistical support, and intelligence to militant elements in the region. Observers say such incidents may continue unless strict action is taken not only against militants but also against their alleged support networks.
