He attributed the success to divine support, the professionalism of the armed forces, the use of modern technology, and the prayers of the nation’s 240 million citizens. He praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s leadership, stating that the nation achieved a historic victory under his command.
The Prime Minister paid solemn tribute to more than 100,000 Pakistanis who have sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism, including personnel from the armed forces, police, Rangers, and other law enforcement agencies. He recalled that terrorism had been defeated once before in 2018 and reaffirmed that the same determination and resolve would be applied to ensure its complete elimination again.
Addressing the role of religious scholars, National Peace Message Committee Convener Maulana Tahir Ashrafi assured the Prime Minister that the committee would fully uphold the trust placed in it. He announced that a two-day conference of religious scholars and spiritual leaders would be held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and that committee members would conduct nationwide outreach, engage with security institutions, and play a frontline role in countering extremist narratives.
Participants at the meeting emphasized that religious scholars would actively contribute on the ideological front, confronting extremism and intellectual terrorism. They reaffirmed their commitment to promoting the Paigham-e-Pakistan narrative across educational and social platforms to strengthen peace, tolerance, and national cohesion.
