Terrorists, Kachhi Operation, Security Forces

Security forces eliminated four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Kolpur area of Kachhi district, while two soldiers embraced martyrdom in an intense exchange of fire, security sources said.

The operation was launched after intelligence reports indicated the presence of terrorists hiding in the mountainous Splinji area. Acting on the information, security forces cordoned off the suspected hideout and moved in to clear the location.

As troops advanced, the terrorists opened fire, triggering a fierce gun battle. During the exchange, security forces successfully eliminated four terrorists and dismantled their hideout.

However, two soldiers laid down their lives while fighting bravely against the terrorists. Three other personnel sustained injuries and were shifted for medical treatment.

Following the encounter, additional troops were deployed and a comprehensive search and sanitization operation was launched to trace and apprehend any terrorists who managed to flee the area.

Security sources said the operation forms part of the country’s ongoing counterterrorism campaign aimed at denying terrorist groups safe havens in Balochistan and other vulnerable regions. They reiterated that intelligence-based operations and search missions would continue unabated until the menace of terrorism is eradicated.

The latest operation comes amid sustained efforts by Pakistan’s security forces to dismantle terrorist networks attempting to regroup in remote areas, reflecting the state’s continued resolve to eliminate terrorism and maintain peace and stability across the country.
