Field Marshal Asim Munir Addresses Tri-Services Amid Historic Defence Overhaul, Reinforces National Resolve

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, delivered a powerful and forward-looking address to officers of all three armed services at the newly established Defence Forces Headquarters, marking what he described as a historic transformation in Pakistan’s higher defence management.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said the establishment of the Defence Forces Headquarters represents a foundational and historic shift in strengthening Pakistan’s defence architecture. He emphasised that with evolving and increasingly complex threats, the Armed Forces must further enhance multi-domain operations under a unified tri-services framework to ensure swift, coordinated, and effective responses.

He stated that while the Army, Navy, and Air Force will continue to maintain their individual operational identities and preparedness, the Defence Forces Headquarters will act as a central body to synchronise and harmonise inter-service operations, ensuring unity at the top command level and seamless coordination without compromising institutional autonomy.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s resolve to defend its sovereignty, Field Marshal Asim Munir issued a firm warning to India, stating that New Delhi must not remain under any illusion or miscalculation. He cautioned that Pakistan’s response in the future would be even swifter and more forceful than before.

Addressing the security situation on the western front, the Field Marshal said that the Taliban regime has been given a clear and unambiguous message: they must choose between supporting the “Fitna-e-Khawarij” or maintaining relations with Pakistan there is no third option.

Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving nation, committed to regional stability, but will never allow any actor to challenge its sovereignty, territorial integrity, or national resolve. He said the concept of Pakistan is invincible, protected by soldiers driven by faith and a united nation whose determination remains unshakeable.

The address concluded with a resolute reaffirmation of national pride:

“Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad.”
