In a precise counterterrorism operation north of Zehri, seven terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH, BLA) were eliminated, with several others injured, delivering a significant blow to terror networks operating in the region. Cobra gunships engaged terrorists attempting to maneuver through a narrow valley, disrupting their movements and preventing their escape.

This operation is part of broader efforts to counter India-backed proxy groups exploiting Afghan safe havens to destabilise Pakistan’s Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regions.

The ongoing security situation remains complicated, especially with groups like the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), which publicly advocates for human rights and missing persons but has faced accusations of providing cover for militant activities. A recent poster released by the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) featured Shahmeer, brother of BYC central figure Sabiha, raising concerns about the overlapping narratives between human rights advocacy and militant agendas. Analysts note that such cases highlight how militant outfits manipulate victimhood narratives to mislead the public and mask their violent operations.

In a related incident, a counter-terror operation in Panjgur yesterday resulted in the elimination of three terrorists, though the operation tragically claimed the lives of three security officers, underscoring the ongoing sacrifices made to restore peace.

Special Forces’ swift and decisive actions continue to thwart efforts aimed at destabilizing the region. Clearance operations are underway to secure affected areas and promote lasting stability amid these persistent threats.
