Several civilians, including women and children, were injured when terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH) detonated a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) in Balochistan’s Kech district, according to local sources.

The explosion occurred in a populated area and targeted a civilian route, causing panic among residents and leaving multiple people wounded. The exact number of casualties was not immediately confirmed, but witnesses said women and children were among those affected by the blast.

Security forces and rescue teams swiftly reached the scene and launched emergency response efforts. Troops provided immediate first aid to the injured before facilitating their evacuation to nearby medical facilities for further treatment.

The blast also damaged nearby property and vehicles, while security personnel cordoned off the area and began collecting evidence from the site.

Authorities believe the device was detonated remotely, a tactic frequently employed by terrorist groups operating in parts of Balochistan to target security personnel and civilians. However, no group has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

A search and sanitization operation was launched in the surrounding area to trace those involved and prevent any further attacks. Security officials said efforts were underway to identify the perpetrators and any facilitators linked to the incident.

The attack comes amid an ongoing wave of counterterrorism operations across Balochistan. In recent days, security forces have carried out multiple intelligence-based operations in districts including Panjgur, Mastung, Nushki, Khuzdar, Zehri, and Kech, eliminating numerous terrorists and recovering weapons, explosives, and prepared IEDs. Officials maintain that operations under the national Azm-e-Istehkam framework will continue until terrorist networks and their support structures are dismantled.

Residents and tribal elders condemned the targeting of civilians, particularly women and children, describing the attack as further evidence that terrorist groups are willing to endanger innocent lives in pursuit of their violent agenda.
