Security forces conducted a significant intelligence-based operation in the Rohri village of Kulachi area in Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in the killing of three Khawarij affiliated with a local armed group, according to security sources.
The operation was carried out following credible intelligence regarding the presence of armed individuals in the area. Upon arrival, security personnel encountered resistance, leading to an exchange of fire between the forces and the suspects.
As a result of the operation, three individuals identified by officials as Khawarij were killed. Authorities stated that the deceased were allegedly associated with the Gundapur group and were wanted in connection with multiple terrorist activities in the region.
Security sources indicated that the individuals had been involved in efforts to destabilize the area and were linked to incidents contributing to local insecurity. However, further verification and identification processes are ongoing.
The operation underscores the continued efforts by security forces to counter Khawarij threats and maintain law and order in sensitive regions. Officials reiterated their commitment to taking decisive action based on intelligence to prevent acts of violence and ensure public safety.
