Residents of Wacha Khora and Sarwakai, in south Waziristan, have strongly rejected what they described as a fresh wave of false propaganda by Fitna al-Khwarij, exposing attempts by armed groups to manipulate ground realities through coercion and staged video content.

Sources said that during Eid-ul-Adha, armed terrorist groups entered parts of the area and used intimidation tactics to gather local residents. At gunpoint, people were forced to assemble, and videos were recorded under pressure.

These same videos were later circulated on social media by the terrorists, attempting to create a false impression of public support. However, locals clarified that their presence in the footage was not voluntary, but the result of fear, coercion, and direct threats.

Residents stated that such tactics are often employed during major gatherings, including Eid and Friday prayers, when people naturally come together. Terrorist elements reportedly exploit these occasions to pressure civilians into staged interactions, which are later misrepresented as genuine public endorsement.

Locals categorically rejected these claims, stating that they are neither supporters nor affiliates of these groups and have grown weary of intimidation, forced compliance, and ongoing threats.

They emphasized that the content being circulated online does not reflect ground realities. According to residents, an environment of fear is deliberately portrayed as support, while the actual situation is one of coercion and distress.

The people of South Waziristan reiterated a clear message: they are tired of terrorist pressure, false narratives and intimidation tactics. They expressed a strong desire for peace, dignity, development and stability, and rejected any attempt to associate them with extremist propaganda.
