Security forces conducted a targeted intelligence-based search operation in the Kharan area as part of ongoing efforts to restore peace and maintain law and order, resulting in the elimination of five elements of Fitna-al-Hindustan BLA, according to security sources.
Officials stated that the operation was launched on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of armed elements in the region. The objective was to clear suspected hideouts and strengthen overall security in the area.
Security personnel initiated a coordinated search operation, during which the Fitna-al-Hindustan elements reportedly opened fire upon sighting the forces. A brief exchange of fire followed, in which five individuals were neutralized.
Authorities confirmed that the operation was carried out in a professional and controlled manner, with all standard operational procedures strictly followed.
Following the engagement, security forces secured the area and continued a comprehensive search operation to ensure no further threat elements remain. Additional sweeps were carried out as part of continued area dominance efforts.
Officials reiterated that such operations are part of a broader counterterrorism strategy aimed at dismantling networks of Fitna-al-Hindustan and ensuring long-term stability in sensitive regions.
