Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Maro area of Mastung district, Balochistan, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists affiliated with the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), from Fitna-al-Hindustan, according to security sources
The operation was launched following credible intelligence regarding the presence and movement of armed militants from Fitna-al-Hindustan involved in terrorist activities in the region. During the swift and coordinated action, security personnel engaged the terrorists in a fierce exchange of fire, neutralizing three militants on the spot.
Security officials further confirmed that at least seven additional terrorists sustained serious injuries during the operation and fled the area under pressure from advancing troops. A sanitization and search operation has subsequently been initiated to trace the fleeing militants and eliminate any remaining threats.
According to preliminary assessments, the terrorists were reportedly involved in multiple acts of violence targeting civilians, law enforcement agencies, and public infrastructure in Balochistan. Weapons, ammunition, and other militant equipment were also recovered from the site of the encounter.
Officials praised the professionalism, courage, and swift response of the security forces, emphasizing that such operations reflect Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring lasting peace and stability in Balochistan.
“The successful operation in Mastung sends a strong and unequivocal message to terrorist elements and their facilitators that the state will not allow anti-peace forces to destabilize the country,” a security official stated. “Those involved in acts of terrorism against innocent citizens and national institutions will be pursued relentlessly.”
The security establishment reiterated that operations against terrorist organizations will continue across the country until complete peace is restored and all hostile networks are dismantled.
Local residents also appreciated the timely action by the security forces, expressing hope that continued counterterrorism efforts would contribute to improved security and development in the province.
Pakistan has witnessed a renewed push against militant groups in recent months as security agencies intensify intelligence-led operations aimed at eliminating terrorism and safeguarding national stability. Authorities maintain that the sacrifices rendered by security personnel in the fight against terrorism will not go in vain.
