Security Forces Eliminate Seven Khawarij in North Waziristan; Weapons Cache Recovered in IBO

Security forces continue to intensify counterterrorism operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, maintaining sustained pressure on Fitna al-Khawarij and their operational networks. In the latest development, seven Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists were eliminated during an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan, according to security sources.

The operation was conducted on the basis of actionable intelligence, enabling security forces to target the presence of hostile elements in the area. The successful action represents another significant development in ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist infrastructure, disrupt armed networks, and prevent hostile elements from carrying out attacks against security personnel and innocent civilians.

According to security sources, the operation resulted in the elimination of seven Khawarij. A substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the deceased terrorists, while their associated hideouts were destroyed during the operation. These outcomes have further disrupted the operational capabilities of the targeted elements and denied them access to facilities and resources that could have been used to sustain terrorist activities.

The operation in North Waziristan underscores the continuing importance of intelligence-led action in countering security threats across the region. Timely intelligence, operational preparedness, and coordinated action remain essential to identifying hostile elements, locating their hideouts, and preventing them from exploiting remote and challenging terrain.

The recovery of weapons and ammunition is a significant aspect of the operation, as such material can provide armed groups with the means to plan and execute further attacks. The destruction of associated hideouts also undermines their ability to use these locations for concealment, logistical support, and operational planning.

By targeting both personnel and infrastructure, security forces are pursuing a comprehensive approach aimed at reducing the capacity of Fitna al-Khawarij to operate, reorganize, and threaten the security of local communities.

Under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, counterterrorism efforts remain focused on confronting threats to Pakistan’s national security and preventing armed groups from establishing safe havens. The ongoing operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reflect a continued commitment to addressing security challenges through intelligence-based measures and decisive action against identified threats.

North Waziristan has remained an important area in Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts because of the security challenges posed by armed groups operating in the region. Sustained vigilance and continued operational pressure are essential to preventing hostile elements from rebuilding their networks, acquiring weapons, or using the area’s difficult terrain to evade security measures.

Security sources have reiterated that operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision will continue until externally supported terrorism is brought to an end. The stated objective remains to dismantle terrorist networks, eliminate threats to public safety, and establish conditions conducive to lasting peace and stability across the region
