Pakistan Rejects “False Propaganda” Over Iranian Aircraft Presence, Reaffirms Transparent Role in US–Iran Peace Facilitation

Pakistan has strongly rejected what officials describe as “misleading propaganda and disinformation” surrounding the presence of Iranian aircraft in the country, stating that the narrative is being promoted by elements seeking to undermine ongoing diplomatic engagement, regional stability, and international peace efforts involving the United States and Iran.

According to official clarifications, the aircraft in question arrived in Pakistan during the ceasefire period and in connection with diplomatic, logistical, and security arrangements linked to the Islamabad talks process between American and Iranian representatives.

Government sources emphasized that Pakistan had already publicly clarified the timing, purpose, and circumstances surrounding the arrival of the Iranian aircraft.

Officials stated that during the ceasefire phase and around the first round of Islamabad-based discussions, both Iranian and American aircraft, personnel, and security teams arrived in Pakistan as part of arrangements related to diplomatic coordination and peace negotiations.

Several Iranian aircraft and staff members reportedly remained in Pakistan even after the completion of the first round of talks due to the possibility that follow-up negotiations could begin at short notice.

Sources noted that although a formal second round of talks did not ultimately take place, the continuing presence of logistical and security infrastructure enabled multiple emergency diplomatic visits, including two separate visits to Pakistan by the Iranian foreign minister during the period of ongoing negotiations.

Officials reiterated that Pakistan acted as a neutral mediator and logistical facilitator, providing administrative, security, and coordination support to both Washington and Tehran in the interest of regional de-escalation and global peace.

The statement stressed that Pakistan remained in continuous and transparent communication with both parties throughout the process and that all arrangements were fully known and understood by the relevant stakeholders. Authorities strongly rejected claims circulating on social media and in certain media circles alleging that Iranian aircraft were stationed in Pakistan for “preservation” purposes during wartime conditions.

Officials clarified that the aircraft arrived during the ceasefire period not during active hostilities and noted that even during the ceasefire phase, the United States was not targeting civilian aviation assets inside Iran itself. According to the clarification, this timeline directly contradicts claims that the aircraft were moved to Pakistan to avoid military action.

The statement accused unnamed actors of deliberately spreading misinformation aimed at sabotaging diplomatic engagement between the United States and Iran. Officials warned that such narratives risk fueling mistrust, damaging peace efforts, and increasing regional instability at a time when diplomatic channels remain critically important.

“These elements are not only hostile to diplomatic engagement between Iran and the United States, but are also acting against broader international peace and stability,” the statement said.

Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to constructive diplomacy, regional stability, and international peace initiatives, emphasizing that it would continue to support all genuine efforts aimed at preventing escalation and encouraging dialogue between rival states.Officials stated that despite negative propaganda and attempts to disrupt mediation efforts, Pakistan would continue its “transparent, sincere, and tireless efforts” in support of peace.

“The ultimate victory will belong to peace,” the statement concluded.
