Tensions along the Pak-Afghan border have intensified following what security sources described as unprovoked firing and aggressive actions by Afghan Taliban elements and Fitna-al-Khawarij. In response, the Pakistan Armed Forces conducted a strong and effective counter-operation targeting hostile positions across the border region.
According to security officials, Pakistani forces responded decisively in the Chaman sector, directly engaging and striking multiple Afghan Taliban defensive posts used for cross-border aggression.
Security sources confirmed that several key enemy positions were destroyed during the retaliatory action. Among the targeted sites were the Sarshan, Almarjan, and Edhi posts, which were reportedly used for hostile activity against Pakistani territory.
In addition to these positions, military assets including vehicles and related installations were also severely damaged, rendering them inoperable, according to initial assessments.
Officials stated that the primary objective of the operation was to restore stability in border regions and prevent any further acts of external aggression. The response, they emphasized, was measured, targeted, and consistent with defensive operational protocols.
Security sources reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully committed to safeguarding national sovereignty and ensuring that border areas are protected against any hostile incursions.
Reaffirming the military’s stance, officials said that Pakistan’s resolve to defend its territory remains “unshakable.” They added that any elements attempting to destabilize the border, along with those allegedly supporting them, will face a strong and sustained response.
The statement further indicated that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq will continue until all designated objectives are achieved, underscoring an ongoing commitment to eliminating threats to border security.
Authorities stressed that Pakistan will continue to respond firmly and proportionately to any aggression, with a focus on maintaining peace, security, and territorial integrity in the region.
