Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation against elements of Fitna al-Khawarij (TTP) in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, effectively disrupting a Khawarij stronghold and eliminating six Khawarij.
According to security sources, the operation, designated Operation 11 Garaj, was launched on the basis of actionable intelligence regarding the presence of Fitna al-Khawarij elements in the area. Acting swiftly on the available intelligence, security forces carried out a precise aerial strike against the Khawarij hideout using an armed quadcopter.
The strike successfully targeted the compound being used by the Khawarij, resulting in its complete destruction. As a consequence of the operation, six Khawarij were eliminated, delivering a significant setback to the group’s activities in the area.
The successful action also disrupted the Khawarij’s ongoing subversive activities and their alleged preparations for future terrorist operations. By striking the hideout before the elements could advance their plans, security forces effectively prevented the location from being further used as a base for hostile activities.
The operation demonstrates the continued effectiveness of intelligence-led counter-terrorism efforts in identifying and targeting Khawarij elements operating in remote and sensitive areas. The use of an armed quadcopter enabled security forces to engage the identified target with precision while focusing the operation on the specific location identified through intelligence. The destruction of the compound further limits the ability of Fitna al-Khawarij elements to establish and maintain hideouts from which they can conduct or plan hostile activities.
The elimination of six Khawarij represents a significant operational setback for the group and reinforces the resolve of security forces to pursue elements threatening Pakistan’s peace and security.
Security forces remain fully committed to eliminating the threat posed by Fitna al-Khawarij and preventing terrorist elements from using Pakistan’s territory to conduct attacks or destabilise the country. The successful operation in Datta Khel is part of the continued efforts of security forces to identify, track and neutralise Khawarij elements through intelligence-based operations. Such actions are aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure, disrupting hostile planning and ensuring the safety and security of the local population.
Security forces have reaffirmed that operations against Khawarij elements will continue with determination and resolve. Every necessary measure will be taken to protect the people of Pakistan and safeguard the country’s peace, stability and territorial integrity.
The message remains clear: there will be no safe haven for Fitna al-Khawarij. Security forces will continue their operations against Khawarij elements until the last terrorist is eliminated, ensuring that hostile networks are denied the opportunity to threaten the lives of innocent citizens or undermine Pakistan’s hard-earned peace.
Operation 11 Garaj stands as another decisive demonstration of Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to eradicate terrorism and restore lasting peace and stability across the country.
