NRF Claims Killing of Two Taliban Fighters in Herat Attack

The National Resistance Front (NRF) has claimed responsibility for an attack on a Taliban patrol in Herat Province, stating that two Taliban fighters were killed during the operation.

According to the NRF, the incident took place on Friday night near the Herat-Kandahar ring road junction in Guzara District, where its forces targeted a Taliban mobile patrol.

The group also claimed that it seized two weapons belonging to the killed personnel.

In its statement, the NRF identified the deceased as members of a mobile patrol unit of the Taliban’s Al-Farooq Corps detection battalion.

The NRF further stated that none of its fighters were harmed during the operation and that there were no civilian casualties.

Taliban authorities have not yet issued a statement regarding the incident.
