Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed the provincial government’s unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism, stating that the blood of martyrs is a national trust and that those responsible for acts of violence will be brought to justice at all costs.
A high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti was held to review the Mangi Dam incident and the overall law and order situation across Balochistan. The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Home Affairs Mir Ziaullah Langove, members of the Provincial Assembly, Inspector General of Police Balochistan Muhammad Tahir Khan, and other senior government and security officials.
During the meeting, the Inspector General of Police Balochistan provided a detailed briefing on the Mangi Dam incident, the ongoing security operation against the perpetrators, the prevailing security environment, operational progress, and the future course of action.
The participants were informed about the measures being taken to strengthen security, improve coordination among law enforcement agencies, and ensure the successful completion of ongoing operations against elements involved in destabilizing activities.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti directed security institutions to ensure that ongoing operations against militants are taken to their logical conclusion. He emphasized that no individual involved in facilitating terrorism would be allowed to escape accountability.
The Chief Minister made it clear that facilitators and supporters of Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan would also be pursued and brought within the ambit of the law. He directed authorities to further strengthen intelligence-based operations and enhance coordination among all security institutions to effectively counter threats to peace and stability.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to maintaining the writ of the state, Chief Minister Bugti instructed all relevant departments and security agencies to accelerate actions against elements working against peace in Balochistan.
He stressed that hostile elements would not be provided any opportunity to regroup or restore their networks. The Chief Minister reiterated that there would be no compromise on the peace and security of Balochistan and that operations against anti-state elements would continue until terrorism is completely eliminated.
Paying tribute to the sacrifices of police personnel, Levies Force, Frontier Corps (FC), and other security institutions, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti stated that the sacrifices of security personnel represent a valuable national asset. He acknowledged the courage and dedication of law enforcement personnel who continue to perform their duties under challenging circumstances to protect the lives and property of the people.
The Chief Minister directed that all available resources be utilized to maintain law and order, safeguard citizens, and further improve the effectiveness of security operations throughout the province.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the government’s determination to establish lasting peace in Balochistan, strengthen the rule of law, and ensure that those responsible for violence and instability face the consequences of their actions.
