Pakistan’s security forces have carried out a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Tump, Balochistan, targeting a network affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan and preventing an attempted infiltration of the sensitive border area.
According to operational details released by the security forces, members of Fitna al-Hindustan were attempting to infiltrate the area while disguised in women’s clothing and were carrying a substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, explosives-related equipment and communication devices. The operation resulted in the recovery of a significant quantity of military-grade matériel believed to have been prepared for future violent attacks.
The recovered arsenal reportedly included 81mm and 60mm mortars, two RPG-7 rocket launchers, an under-barrel grenade launcher (UBGL), hand grenades and RPG rounds. Security personnel also recovered IED remote-control devices, walkie-talkies, ammunition, explosives-related equipment and other operational supplies.
The scale and composition of the recovered matériel represent a significant disruption to the operational resources of the Fitna al-Hindustan network in the area. The presence of mortars, RPG systems, grenades, ammunition and communications equipment indicates access to a range of capabilities that could facilitate coordinated armed attacks.
According to security authorities, the recovered weapons and equipment were intended for targeted killings and IED attacks. Their seizure has therefore potentially prevented the deployment of substantial quantities of weapons and explosives in attacks against security personnel, public locations and other targets.
The reported attempt to infiltrate the border area while concealing identities further illustrates the methods employed by Fitna al-Hindustan networks to evade detection and move personnel and equipment through sensitive areas. The use of disguises, combined with the transportation of heavy weapons and communications equipment, points to an effort to maintain operational secrecy while positioning matériel for future activity.
