Malakand Division’s security situation and measures to ensure lasting peace remained the focus of a high-level meeting, where a comprehensive action plan was reviewed to strengthen law enforcement capabilities and counterterrorism efforts across the region.
Following the meeting, the regional police leadership stated that law and order remains fully established across Malakand Division, particularly in Swat, and no disruptive element would be allowed to disturb the peaceful environment.
The police leadership expressed confidence in the operational readiness of the force, stating that personnel are mentally prepared and practically positioned on the frontline to confront security challenges and protect citizens.
It was highlighted that significant improvements have been made in police capabilities during recent years, including increased resources, provision of modern equipment, and enhanced operational preparedness to deal with evolving threats.
The police have also developed a scientific and coordinated strategy against terrorism, moving beyond traditional approaches and focusing on improved intelligence coordination, professional training, modern technology, and effective field operations.
The newly prepared security plan will be implemented through a structured approach aimed at eliminating terrorist threats and ensuring sustainable peace across the division. The police leadership expressed confidence that with public cooperation and professional commitment of the force, the plan would achieve its objectives.
Rejecting rumours regarding the security situation, the police leadership maintained that there is no “no-go area” anywhere in Malakand Division and that security personnel are deployed at all sensitive locations.
Tourists from across Pakistan have also been assured that the region’s scenic destinations remain safe and accessible, with law enforcement agencies maintaining round-the-clock readiness for their protection.
