A house belonging to Mr. Sabar Jan, son of the late Malik Shireen Jan of the Waziri Darikhel tribe, was destroyed in a terrorist attack carried out through an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Saraghwara area of Birmal Tehsil, Lower South Waziristan.
According to local sources and preliminary reports, Khawarij elements planted and detonated the explosive device, resulting in the complete destruction of the residential property. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported, as no family members were present inside the house at the time of the explosion.
The attack has been strongly condemned by local elders, tribal leaders, and residents, who described it as a cowardly act targeting innocent civilians and their property. Community representatives stated that such acts of terrorism are aimed at creating fear and instability among the local population and undermining ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
The destruction of the residence has caused significant financial losses to the affected family and has generated widespread concern among local residents. Tribal elders emphasized that attacks on civilian homes are a blatant violation of humanitarian values, tribal traditions, and basic principles of human dignity.
Local leaders have urged the relevant authorities and security institutions to conduct a comprehensive investigation, identify all individuals involved in planning and executing the attack, and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. They further called for enhanced security measures to protect civilian lives and property and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The Waziri Darikhel tribe reaffirmed its support for peace, stability, and the rule of law, while expressing solidarity with the affected family during this difficult time. Community members pledged continued cooperation with authorities in efforts aimed at eliminating terrorism and safeguarding the security of the region.
