The Deputy Chief of Naval Staff of the Pakistan Navy has underscored the operational readiness and strategic coordination of Pakistan’s naval forces during the landmark “Operation Haq,” asserting that the Indian Navy lacked the resolve to challenge Pakistan’s maritime domain.
Speaking at a press briefing on the first anniversary of Operation Haq, the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff stated that despite India’s deployment of a fully equipped naval fleet, it did not dare to venture into Pakistani waters. “The Indian Navy was fully armed and equipped in every respect, yet it did not have the courage to act aggressively. Their attempts at asserting naval presence were neutralized by our preparedness and coastal defense capabilities,” he said.
He further emphasized that Pakistan’s coastal installations and ports remained fully operational throughout the period, and the seamless coordination among the Pakistan Armed Forces was instrumental in safeguarding national maritime security. “Our forces’ synchronization ensured that all critical maritime infrastructure remained protected. Any attempts to challenge our sovereignty were effectively deterred,” he added.
The Deputy Chief highlighted that while Pakistan remains committed to peace, this commitment is not a weakness. “Whether in times of peace or conflict, we are fully prepared to defend our nation. Our naval capabilities are continuously honed and strategically positioned to respond to any threat,” he asserted.
Addressing the regional security context, he advised that adversaries should consider the ground realities and demonstrate responsibility in their actions and statements. “Peace is our goal, but our preparedness ensures that we will decisively respond to any aggression. Our maritime assets are fully operational, and any irresponsible provocation will be countered with precision and strength,” he concluded.
This statement reaffirms Pakistan Navy’s unwavering commitment to defending the country’s territorial waters and highlights its readiness to maintain peace while being fully capable of countering any external threats.
