Security forces targeted a hideout of Fitna al-Khwarij terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Tatang village of Central Kurram, eliminating four terrorists and capturing two others alive.
According to initial information, security forces launched the operation after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of Fitna al-Khwarij terrorists in the Tatang village area.
During the operation, an exchange of fire took place between security forces and the terrorists. Four terrorists were eliminated in the firefight, while two others were captured alive.
The successful action resulted in six terrorists being taken out of action, with four eliminated and two taken into custody.
The operation was conducted on the basis of intelligence information and targeted the terrorists’ hideout in the area. The capture of two terrorists alive is expected to assist authorities in obtaining further information about the terrorist network, its activities and other members.
Security forces continue intelligence-based operations against terrorist networks in the region to disrupt their activities and prevent them from carrying out attacks.
