Field Marshal Asim Munir: Any Attempt Against Pakistan Will Have Far-Reaching, Deadly Consequences, Just Like the 26 Targets We Struck

Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized that India’s ambition to alter the regional balance of power through military aggression and diplomatic isolation far exceeds its capabilities. “Pakistan will never allow such designs to succeed,” he said, highlighting the strategic significance of the operation.

Paying homage to all martyrs, veterans, and particularly the innocent women, children, and elderly who lost their lives, Field Marshal Munir stated, “We regard the sacrifices of our martyrs as a sacred trust, our strength as a responsibility, and our victories as blessings from the Almighty.”

He further underlined Pakistan’s uncompromising stance on sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national dignity. “India incurred severe human and material losses in this conflict, the repercussions of which it will feel for years to come,” he added.

Highlighting the operational achievements of the armed forces, Field Marshal Munir said, “Our precision missiles and the unmatched prowess of the Pakistan Air Force targeted over 26 enemy military sites successfully. Today, Pakistan’s defense stands fully impregnable against any external aggression. Let the enemy know that any future misadventures will not be limited in scope but will be extremely dangerous, far-reaching, and consequential. Future conflicts will involve multi-domain operations incorporating long-range weaponry, drones, cyber warfare, and artificial intelligence.”

He also outlined steps taken to modernize the armed forces in line with contemporary strategic demands, including the establishment of the Defence Forces Headquarters. “Our strategic defense partnership with the brotherly Islamic nation, Saudi Arabia, marks a historic milestone in Pakistan’s diplomatic and defense achievements,” Field Marshal Munir added.

The ceremony saw the participation of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Baber Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff, and Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Naval Staff, who paid homage at the Martyrs’ Memorial by laying floral tributes. Disciplined contingents from the Army, Navy, and Air Force presented a ceremonial salute, showcasing the unity, professionalism, and readiness of Pakistan’s armed forces.

Earlier on this occasion, Field Marshal Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Baber, and Admiral Naveed Ashraf extended congratulatory messages to the nation and the armed forces, highlighting the victory as a testament to operational readiness, dedication, and professional excellence.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reaffirmed, “With the steadfast support of the nation, the Armed Forces are fully prepared to meet all internal and external challenges. The success of Marka-e-Haq reflects the preparedness, skill, and professionalism of our forces and decisively strengthens public confidence in the military.”

Across Pakistan, the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq is being observed as a Day of Gratitude, celebrating the historic victory of Operation Bunyan al-Marsous and honoring the martyrs and heroes who defended the nation with valor.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif extended their felicitations to the armed forces, with the President commending the leadership and courageous decision-making of Field Marshal Asim Munir and recognizing the exceptional skill of the Pakistan Air Force. The Prime Minister paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans, describing them as the “steel wall” defending the homeland.

This commemoration not only marks a milestone in Pakistan’s military history but also reinforces the nation’s unwavering commitment to sovereignty, regional stability, and the enduring values of courage, sacrifice, and resilience demonstrated during Marka-e-Haq.
