Chief of Defence Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has called on Afghanistan to completely eradicate terrorist centers and safe havens within its territory, emphasizing the urgent need for regional cooperation in combating militancy.
Addressing the ongoing threat of cross-border terrorism, Field Marshal Munir stated: “India, unable to confront Pakistan through conventional warfare, is once again resorting to the nefarious tactics of terrorism. Afghanistan must take decisive action to eliminate all terrorist camps and sanctuaries operating on its soil.”
The Field Marshal also expressed profound respect for the people and security forces of Pakistan, particularly the brave citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, as well as the armed forces and law enforcement personnel engaged in the frontline struggle against militancy.
“I salute the valor and dedication of all those who serve our nation,” Field Marshal Munir remarked. “We will ensure that the blood of every innocent Pakistani is avenged. This war against terrorism will continue relentlessly until the last terrorist is eliminated.”
His statement underscores Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to national security and regional stability, highlighting the determination of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies to confront terrorism decisively.
The call to Afghanistan comes amid continued efforts by Pakistan to secure its borders and eliminate cross-border terrorist networks, while safeguarding civilian lives and maintaining the integrity of the nation.
Field Marshal Munir’s remarks reflect Pakistan’s firm stance that combating terrorism is not only a matter of national defense but a responsibility shared by all regional partners to ensure peace and stability.
