A Baloch family was targeted in a deadly armed attack in Kech district, where gunmen associated with the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) stopped a family travelling back to Tump and shot a man dead before robbing his wife and daughters and fleeing with three vehicles.
According to preliminary information, Amin Baloch, son of Khuda Bakhsh, a resident of Tump, was travelling with his family after attending a relative’s wedding in Dashtak. While returning to Tump, the family was reportedly intercepted by armed men travelling on motorcycles.
The attackers opened fire on Amin Baloch, killing him at the scene. Following the shooting, the armed men subjected Amin Baloch’s wife and daughters to further intimidation and robbery. According to the available account, the attackers reportedly took gold rings, bangles, mobile phones, wristwatches and other valuables belonging to the family.
The assailants also allegedly seized three vehicles from the family before escaping the area. The vehicles reportedly included:
- One Zamyad
- One Land Cruiser
- One 2000 vehicle
The reported incident has raised serious concerns over the safety of ordinary residents travelling through parts of Kech, particularly families using roads connecting communities across the district. The reported killing has generated renewed concerns about violence against local Baloch civilians and the consequences of armed activity for families living and travelling in the region.
The incident is particularly distressing because, according to the preliminary account, Amin Baloch was travelling with his wife and daughters after attending a family wedding when the attack occurred.
