Security forces successfully conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Zamran (Girdak Kor) mountainous area near Balida in Kech District, Balochistan, resulting in the elimination of two operatives associated with Fitna al-Hindustan and the injury of three others.
According to security sources, the operation was carried out by Frontier Corps Balochistan (South) following credible intelligence regarding the presence and activities of hostile elements in the area. Acting swiftly on the received information, security personnel launched a carefully planned operation to neutralize the threat posed by the group.
During the operation, an intense engagement took place between security forces and the Fitna al-Hindustan operatives. As a result of the successful action, two operatives were killed while three others sustained injuries.
Security sources stated that the eliminated and injured operatives were allegedly involved in various hostile activities, including the planting of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), extortion, arson, robbery, and other acts of terrorism aimed at creating instability and fear in the region.
A significant quantity of arms, ammunition, and explosive material was also recovered during the operation. The recovered items included IEDs, explosive substances, remote controls, command and detonating wires, IED batteries, two hand grenades, four motorcycles, magazines, ammunition, and two mobile phones.
The recovery of explosive devices and related equipment highlights the operational capability and malicious intent of the group, while the successful intelligence-driven operation has disrupted their ability to carry out further hostile activities in the area.
Following the operation, security forces continue to maintain vigilance and undertake necessary measures to ensure the security and stability of the region. Intelligence-based operations against hostile elements will continue as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism and dismantle support networks operating in Balochistan.
