DG ISPR: Pakistan Fully United, Fully Prepared, No Ambiguity in National Resolve

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has stated that India has repeatedly resorted to false flag operations for narrative building, while asserting that Pakistan continues to make the most consistent and sincere efforts for peace in the region.

Addressing a detailed media briefing, the DG ISPR said that certain segments of India’s political leadership increasingly project an aggressive posture, adding that India’s discourse often appears more aligned with confrontation than diplomacy. He emphasized that Pakistan, in contrast, has consistently prioritized regional stability and constructive engagement.

He stated that instead of addressing its internal challenges, India is further exacerbating regional tensions through external blame-shifting and propaganda-based narratives.

Reiterating Pakistan’s longstanding position, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that Kashmir is not India’s internal matter but an internationally recognized disputed territory, with multiple United Nations resolutions affirming its unresolved status. He urged India to abandon what he described as false narratives and to engage with facts and international legal realities.

Referring to the Pahalgam incident, the DG ISPR noted that one year has passed, yet India has failed to present any credible or verifiable evidence regarding its allegations. He recalled that Pakistan had raised multiple questions at the time, which remain unanswered to date, including the identity of the perpetrators and the alleged camps targeted by India.

He pointed out that FIRs were filed within minutes of the incident, followed by immediate claims that attackers had crossed borders, without presenting any substantive proof. He questioned the absence of prior intelligence, asking how alleged infiltrators traveling hundreds of kilometers inside Indian territory went undetected if India’s intelligence apparatus was as effective as claimed.

The DG ISPR further stated that international observers and media representatives continue to raise fundamental questions about the Pahalgam incident, including who was responsible and what objectives were being pursued. He added that both Pakistani citizens and informed segments within India are seeking answers to these unresolved questions.

He also noted that international media personnel visiting various locations, including affected areas and places of worship, observed and reported that victims included children, women, the elderly, and ordinary civilians, further complicating the narrative presented by India.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry remarked that over the past year, several instances have highlighted what he described as a departure from professional military conduct within segments of India’s security establishment, where statements increasingly reflect political messaging rather than professional military restraint.

He said that attempts to merge political narratives with military institutions have been observed, while emphasizing that Pakistan’s Armed Forces have consistently maintained a strictly professional and apolitical stance throughout.

He further noted that no officer of Pakistan’s Armed Forces has ever resorted to politically driven rhetoric, in contrast to what he described as recurring inflammatory statements from certain elements within India’s political leadership that tend to escalate tensions.

The DG ISPR stated that Pakistan has consistently responded to provocation with restraint, responsibility, and professionalism, and reiterated that if India has concerns or disagreements, they should be addressed through direct, responsible, and diplomatic engagement rather than inflammatory rhetoric.

He also rejected the notion that Pakistan was internally divided, stating that events over the past year have demonstrated national unity across all segments of society. “From children to elders, from the poor to the wealthy, and from Kashmir to Gwadar, the entire nation stood united,” he said.

The DG ISPR concluded by reaffirming that Pakistan remains committed to peace but fully prepared to respond to any aggression across all domains of modern warfare.
