Security forces repelled an attack by the terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH), also know as the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), on a security checkpoint in District Chaghi, eliminating 12 terrorists during a swift counter-operation, according to sources.
The attack was reported in the Dalbandin area of Chaghi, where a group of BLA terrorists targeted a security forces’ post. Alert personnel responded immediately and launched a counter-action to prevent the attackers from advancing towards the post.
Sources said security personnel effectively encircled the attackers and engaged them, resulting in the elimination of 12 terrorists.
A substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the eliminated terrorists, sources said.
The successful response thwarted the attack and prevented the terrorists from achieving their intended objective, sources added.
Security personnel subsequently conducted a search of the surrounding area to ensure that no other attackers remained in the vicinity. Further details about the operation and the identities of those eliminated were not immediately available.
The incident comes amid continued security operations against terrorist networks operating in Balochistan, with security forces maintaining heightened vigilance at sensitive installations and checkpoints across the province.
