In a fresh incident of terrorism in Balochistan, armed elements linked to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), described by state authorities as a terrorist network operating under hostile external influence, carried out an attack targeting a civilian transport vehicle, setting it ablaze and destroying a key source of livelihood for a local driver.
According to preliminary accounts, the assailants intercepted the vehicle and forcibly stopped the driver before proceeding to set it on fire. Despite the driver’s repeated pleas, the attackers proceeded with the destruction, leaving the vehicle completely gutted.
The targeted vehicle was reportedly the sole means of income for the affected family, highlighting a recurring pattern in which terrorist groups operating in the province increasingly focus on civilian economic assets rather than conventional security targets.
Security observers note that such attacks reflect an ongoing strategy by terrorist networks in the region to disrupt daily life, intimidate local communities, and weaken economic stability by striking transport, trade routes, and working-class livelihoods.
