Balochistan Tragedy Unfolds: Three Police Personnel, Including First Female Constable, Martyred in Deadly Clashes

Several police personnel, including a female constable, were martyred and others sustained injuries in separate incidents involving armed terrorists during operations in Khuzdar and Dasht.

According to police sources, the first incident occurred in the Bajoi area of Khuzdar, where law enforcement personnel conducted a raid linked to the theft of solar panels. During the operation, officers encountered armed terrorists, leading to an intense exchange of fire.

As a result, Head Constable Samiullah and Constable Malik Naz Bibi reported to be the province’s first female constable embraced martyrdom on the spot. Additional SHO Muhammad Ibrahim and Constable Najeeb-ur-Rehman were injured during the exchange and were shifted to a medical facility for treatment. Authorities confirmed that further operations in the area are ongoing.

In a separate incident in Dasht, a targeted operation carried out jointly by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police against terrorist elements also came under heavy attack. Officials stated that militants opened intense fire and hurled hand grenades upon spotting the security forces.

During the exchange, Head Constable Rehmatullah, Reader to SP Sariab, was martyred at the scene. Several personnel sustained serious injuries, including CTD Sub-Inspector Javed Gul, Constable Niaz Ahmed, ASI Waqar Ahmed of Sariab Police, Head Constable Noorullah, and Constables Abdul Aleem and Taj Muhammad. The injured were immediately transported for medical treatment.

Security forces responded with retaliatory fire, and clearance operations have been intensified in both areas to track down and neutralize the attackers. Reinforcements have been deployed, and the situation is being closely monitored by senior officials.

Authorities have strongly condemned the attacks, terming them cowardly acts aimed at destabilizing peace in the region. Officials reiterated that such incidents will not weaken the resolve of law enforcement agencies, which remain committed to eliminating terrorism and ensuring public safety.

Investigations are underway to determine the identity and affiliations of the attackers, while coordinated operations continue to dismantle militant networks operating in the region.
