The Pakistan Army shot down another Indian quadcopter along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Samahni sector of Baghser, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, security sources confirmed.
According to the sources, the Indian surveillance drone was targeted and brought down at approximately 3:15 am as it intruded into Pakistani airspace.
Meanwhile, intense Indian shelling continued throughout the night in various areas of the Muzaffarabad and Poonch divisions along the LoC. However, the Pakistan Army gave a robust and effective response, silencing the Indian guns by dawn.
District administration officials said the Indian military is reportedly dispersing “toy bombs” near civilian settlements along the LoC, warning residents not to touch any unfamiliar or suspicious objects.
In Rawalakot, a 22-year-old civilian, Osama Ishrat—a resident of Kotteri Najam Khan—was martyred in Indian shelling, while his two sisters sustained injuries. Osama had been married just ten days earlier.
In another incident in Hajira, three civilians were injured due to unprovoked Indian firing. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Pakistan Army remains on high alert and continues to respond with full force to any Indian aggression along the LoC.
