Security forces and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in the border area of Ziarat and Harnai, acting upon credible and actionable intelligence regarding the presence of militants.
According to security officials, elements belonging to the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) were reportedly preparing for a major act of sabotage in the region. Upon receiving the information, security forces swiftly launched a coordinated operation and effectively cordoned off the suspected hideouts.
During the operation, a heavy exchange of fire ensued between the security personnel and the militants. As a result, seven BLA-affiliated terrorists were eliminated. The operation concluded without any casualties among the security forces.
The successful operation has been hailed as a significant blow to the banned outfit’s network in the region, further strengthening efforts to maintain peace and stability.
