Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar has said that irrefutable evidence exists of India’s involvement in acts of terrorism.
Briefing representatives of the foreign media in Islamabad, the minister stated that Pakistan has been the biggest victim of terrorism, having sacrificed thousands of lives in the fight against it. He added that terrorism has caused Pakistan billions of dollars in economic losses, while successful operations against extremist elements continue.
Atta Tarar said the Indian government has been involved in terrorist incidents across the globe. Referring to the Pahalgam incident, which took place just 150 kilometers from the Line of Control, he highlighted that the immediate registration of a First Information Report (FIR) was evidence that the attack was pre-planned. Pakistan, he said, has offered to fully cooperate in impartial investigations into the matter.
The minister further said that during the Jafar Express incident, terrorists had taken innocent civilians hostage, and that the global community, along with Pakistan, condemned the attack. He accused India of being involved in state-sponsored terrorism.
Atta Tarar reminded the audience of the capture of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was implicated in terrorist activities inside Pakistan, and pointed out that evidence of Indian involvement in the killing of Sikh leaders has also been presented to the world. He reiterated that undeniable proof exists of India’s hand in multiple acts of terrorism.
Concluding his remarks, the Federal Minister said India actively sponsors terrorism, citing the attack on Pakistan’s High Commission in London as a reflection of the extremist mindset of the Indian government. He warned that Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be misconstrued as weakness, affirming that Pakistan knows how to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
