Peace Jirga in Sadda Stresses Disarmament and Implementation of Kohat, Bagan Accords

Sadda, Kurram District—A significant jirga was held in Sadda between the local wing commander and tribal elders, during which key issues concerning regional peace and security were thoroughly discussed.

During the meeting, a proposal to launch an awareness campaign for de-weaponisation in the area was put forward to advance the process effectively and ensure long-term stability.

The jirga participants underscored the importance of fully implementing the Kohat and Bagan agreements, declaring them vital foundations for sustainable peace in the region. It was agreed that the success of these accords depends not only on the involvement of tribal elders but also on the active support of the local population.

Elders pledged full cooperation with law enforcement agencies and reaffirmed their commitment to utilising all available resources to ensure peace and security in the area.
