Security forces eliminated three terrorists of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), including a key commander identified as Masood, during an operation in the southern district of Tank, local sources said.
According to sources, Masood was among the high-value targets engaged during the operation and was eliminated in an exchange of fire. His death is considered a significant blow to the terrorist network operating in the area.
Masood’s close associate was also eliminated. The associate was reportedly involved in several major terrorist attacks, making his elimination another setback for the TTP’s local operational network.
A third terrorist was also neutralized during the operation. The identities and further details about the eliminated terrorists were not immediately available.
The operation is part of the ongoing efforts by security forces to dismantle terrorist networks operating in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and prevent them from carrying out attacks against security personnel and civilians.
