Residents of Gomal in Tank district foiled an attempt by terrorists to abduct a local shopkeeper, eliminating two terrorists in a timely resistance.
The incident comes amid growing concerns over attacks on civilians and follows the recent abduction of four polio workers in the area, suggesting that terrorists are increasingly targeting people engaged in ordinary civilian activities.
According to reports, the terrorists attempted to abduct the shopkeeper, but residents promptly resisted their move and confronted the attackers, killing two of them and successfully preventing the kidnapping.
The incident sends a clear message that attempts to terrorize local communities and abduct civilians will not go unanswered. After abducting four polio workers, the terrorists had to pay the price this time, as local residents stood their ground and foiled their latest attempt.
