Security forces foiled an attempted attack by terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH) on an unoccupied camp belonging to a construction company in Gwadar, killing three terrorists, while operations continued at two locations, according to security sources.
The terrorists attempted to target the vacant camp, but security forces responded promptly and thwarted the attack. Three terrorists were killed during the operation, while three others were surrounded as security personnel continued efforts to neutralize the remaining attackers.
In a separate operation linked to another reported attack attempt, security forces also launched action against terrorists present at a hotel near the Gwadar highway. Four terrorists were reported to be surrounded at the location, with the operation still underway.
According to security sources, the two operations were being conducted to counter the threat posed by the attackers and prevent further violence in the area. The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Gwadar was personally leading the operation, the sources said.
The latest developments indicate that security forces were simultaneously dealing with threats at the construction camp and the hotel near the highway. The identities of the terrorists and further details about the circumstances of both incidents had not been released at the time of reporting.
