Fitna al-Khwarij Commander Eliminated as Precision Strike Targets Terrorist Hideout in Bannu

Fitna al-Khwarij, Fitna al-Khwarij Commander Eliminated, Bannu Strike

Security forces carried out a precision drone strike against a Fitna al-Khwarij hideout in the Jani Khel area of Bannu district, eliminating two terrorists, including a local commander identified as Jameed alias Sar Bangla, according to security sources.

The strike targeted a location where terrorists were reportedly gathered for operational planning. Sources said the precision engagement resulted in the elimination of commander Jameed and another terrorist, while several other members of the group sustained injuries.

The injured terrorists are believed to have fled towards nearby hideouts following the strike. Security forces subsequently launched a search and surveillance operation in the surrounding area to trace the wounded terrorists and prevent their escape.

Officials said commander Jameed was allegedly involved in coordinating terrorist activities in Bannu and adjoining districts and had remained on the radar of security agencies for his role in facilitating attacks against security forces and civilians.

The operation forms part of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign aimed at dismantling the operational infrastructure of Fitna al-Khwarij across southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In recent weeks, security forces have intensified intelligence-based operations and precision strikes in Bannu, Lakki Marwat, North Waziristan and adjacent districts to eliminate terrorist leadership and disrupt militant networks.

Security officials reiterated that operations against Fitna al-Khwarij will continue until all terrorist sanctuaries are dismantled and the region is cleared of militants.
