Four people were killed and seven others injured in separate grenade attacks reported in Chaman District of Balochistan and Lakki Marwat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to local authorities.
In Lakki Marwat, a grenade explosion inside a residential house in the Bahram Khel area resulted in the deaths of three family members, including Rasheed, his sister-in-law, and a minor nephew. Three children were also injured in the incident and were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Police officials stated that further investigation into the incident is underway, while legal proceedings are being initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack and identify those responsible.
In a separate incident in Chaman District of Balochistan, unidentified assailants targeted workers engaged in the construction of a national highway. According to police, the workers were asleep when a grenade was thrown at their location, resulting in the death of one worker and injuries to four others.
The injured workers were provided initial medical assistance and later shifted to Quetta for further treatment. Law enforcement agencies have launched efforts to trace the attackers and ascertain the motive behind the assault.
Authorities have initiated investigations into both incidents and are taking necessary measures to bring the perpetrators to justice. Security agencies remain committed to maintaining law and order, protecting citizens, and ensuring that those involved in acts of violence are identified and held accountable.
