Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) has stated that deliberate attempts are being made to create a negative perception regarding the situation in Balochistan and promote a misleading narrative, whereas ground realities present a different picture.
Addressing the issue, the DG ISPR said that security forces continue to conduct operations against Khawarij and other hostile elements in accordance with law and national security requirements. He explained that areas witnessing a higher number of security operations naturally report more encounters and attempted attacks, as hostile elements attempt to respond to increased state pressure and ongoing counterterrorism measures.
The DG ISPR emphasized that Pakistan is a state governed by the Constitution and law, where all matters of governance and security are conducted within the established legal framework. He stated that certain groups attempt to portray Pakistan as a “hard state” with a negative connotation, whereas a strong state is one where the rule of law, equality, and writ of the state are effectively maintained.
He further stated that when laws are applied equally, without special privileges or exceptions for any individual or group, it strengthens the foundations of a stable and secure state. Such an environment ensures public safety, institutional stability, and effective governance.
Highlighting the situation in Balochistan, the DG ISPR said that attempts to distort facts and question state actions are aimed at undermining confidence in ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security. He reiterated that Pakistan remains determined to address security challenges through constitutional, legal, and institutional mechanisms.
The DG ISPR stated that security forces are actively engaged in counterterrorism operations against Khawarij elements and other hostile networks seeking to disturb peace and stability. He reaffirmed that these operations will continue until all threats to national security are eliminated.
He stressed that the state’s priority remains the protection of citizens, safeguarding national integrity, and ensuring lasting peace and development in Balochistan and across Pakistan.
