People across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have voiced strong opposition to terrorism and violent extremism, reaffirming their support for Pakistan’s security forces and their resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with them in safeguarding peace and stability.
According to reports and videos received from different parts of the province, large gatherings of local residents were held in Swat, Upper and Lower Dir, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Bannu, North Waziristan, South Waziristan and several other districts, where participants condemned terrorism in all its forms and declared that no individual or group would be allowed to disturb the hard-earned peace of their respective areas.
Many of the participants, including tribal elders, youth and other members of local communities, met security forces personnel to express solidarity with them and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. They appreciated the role of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies in restoring peace and pledged their full cooperation in eliminating the menace of terrorism.
During the gatherings, participants stated that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have suffered immensely due to decades of terrorism and violence, and therefore remain determined to protect their homeland from those attempting to spread fear and instability. They emphasized that terrorists and their facilitators would find no refuge among the local population, urging residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
Citizens participating in the meetings stressed that terrorism has no place in their society and reaffirmed that the people stand united against extremists seeking to undermine Pakistan’s peace and development. They said the collective resolve of the public, combined with the efforts of the security forces, would ensure that the sacrifices made in the fight against terrorism are not allowed to go in vain.
Security forces personnel warmly welcomed the delegations from different districts and appreciated their patriotic spirit and commitment to peace. They reiterated that lasting peace is only possible through close cooperation between the people and the state, assuring the participants that every possible measure is being taken to protect the lives and property of citizens.
Officials also reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the security forces to continue operations against terrorists and their networks until the menace is completely eradicated. They emphasized that the support and confidence of the local population remain among the greatest strengths in the country’s ongoing campaign against terrorism.
The province-wide expressions of solidarity come at a time when Pakistan’s security forces continue intelligence-based operations against terrorist elements in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Observers believe the public demonstrations reflect growing unity between local communities and the security institutions, reinforcing a shared commitment to defeating terrorism and preserving peace across the province.
