Security forces successfully carried out an intelligence-based operation near Lagap, in the vicinity of Dalbandin, Balochistan, resulting in the elimination of six operatives affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan/Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
According to security sources, the operation was launched following credible intelligence received from the Markhor area regarding the movement of armed militants. Acting swiftly on the information, security forces intercepted the suspects near Lagap.
Upon being signaled to stop, the militants, traveling on two motorcycles and a Zamyad pickup truck, opened indiscriminate fire on the security personnel, triggering an intense exchange of fire. Security forces responded effectively, neutralizing six militants during the engagement.
Initial reports indicate that six to seven additional militants managed to flee the scene after sustaining injuries. A search and clearance operation has been launched in the surrounding area to locate and apprehend the escaping suspects.
During the operation, security forces recovered a substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, and other materials allegedly linked to militant activities. The recovered items included:
- Two motorcycles and one Zamyad pickup truck.
- One Rocket-Propelled Grenade (RPG) launcher.
- One M4 rifle equipped with an Under-Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL).
- Three submachine guns (SMGs).
- One Zarkai light machine gun (LMG).
- A large quantity of ammunition.
- A BLA flag, bandoliers, medicines, and other operational accessories.
Security officials stated that the successful operation has dealt a significant blow to the operational capabilities of Fitna al-Hindustan/BLA in the Dalbandin area and disrupted their ability to conduct hostile activities.
The security forces reaffirmed their commitment to continuing intelligence-driven operations across Balochistan to dismantle militant networks, eliminate threats to public safety, and ensure lasting peace and stability. They emphasized that operations against anti-state elements will continue with full determination until all such networks are neutralized.
