Bannu Resident Publicly Disowns Son Involved in Anti-State Activities, Calls for Legal Action

A resident of Feroz Fateh Khel, Ayub Nawaz Khan, addressed a press conference at the Bannu Press Club, where he formally announced his disassociation from his son, Azizullah, amid allegations of involvement in anti-state activities.

During the press conference, Ayub Nawaz Khan stated that differences had developed between him and his son some time ago, after which Azizullah left home. Initially, the family had no information regarding his whereabouts. However, they later came to know through reports that he had allegedly joined individuals involved in anti-state activities.

He clarified that he has no connection with the alleged activities of his son and reiterated that if Azizullah is found involved in any unlawful or anti-state conduct, law enforcement and security agencies should take action against him in accordance with the law, without any objection from the family.

Ayub Nawaz Khan further stated that another of his sons travels abroad for employment, while Azizullah himself had also previously worked overseas and was known as a religious and hardworking young man. However, he claimed that Azizullah may have been influenced and misguided by certain individuals, leading him astray from his previous path.

He added that for approximately the past one month, Azizullah has reportedly been associated with such elements and is no longer responsive to family counsel or communication.

Appealing to the government and security institutions, Ayub Nawaz Khan requested that innocent family members should not be subjected to harassment or collective punishment due to the alleged actions of his son. He emphasized that his family respects the law and does not support any illegal or anti-state activity in any form.

The press conference concluded with a renewed appeal for fair treatment of the family and strict adherence to legal procedures in handling the case.
