In two separate but significant public declarations in Bannu, individuals from different families have announced complete disassociation from their close relatives over involvement in anti-state activities.
In the first statement, Ajab Noor Khan, a resident of Sorani area, publicly declared his complete disassociation from his son, Abdul Salam. Addressing a press conference at the Bannu Press Club, he stated that he is a peaceful, law-abiding citizen who has always respected state institutions and the law. He added that his son had completed matriculation and later studied in a religious seminary, but has reportedly become involved in activities described as anti-state in nature. Ajab Noor Khan made it clear that he bears no responsibility for his son’s alleged actions and requested that no legal or investigative pressure be placed upon him in this regard. He further stated that if his son surrenders in the future, he will present him before the relevant authorities to ensure legal proceedings are followed. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the state, its constitution, and law enforcement institutions.
In a separate declaration, Sohrab, a resident of Talgi Sorani, also publicly distanced himself from his younger brother, Wali Ahmad, over similar allegations. Sohrab stated that he is the son of Noor Nawaz and confirmed that his brother has allegedly been involved in anti-state activities for the past one and a half years. Along with his family, he appeared before the Bannu Police Peace Committee, where they collectively took an oath on the Holy Quran, declaring that they have no contact, connection, or association with Wali Ahmad. He further urged the public to remain cautious and advised people to keep their families away from such individuals, describing them as harmful elements.
Both individuals emphasized that their disassociation is complete, public, and irrevocable, and that they hold no responsibility for the actions or conduct of their respective relatives.
