Security forces conducted a precise air operation in the Krekot area of Wana, South Waziristan, targeting a known Fitna al-Khawarij hideout. The operation resulted in the neutralization of two Fitna al-Khawarij operatives, while multiple others sustained injuries.
According to official sources, the air operation was launched on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of Fitna al-Khawarij elements in the area, who were reportedly using remote terrain as a hideout to evade law enforcement and plan further hostile activities.
The precision strike successfully engaged the identified target location, resulting in the elimination of two operatives on the spot. Security officials confirmed that the remaining individuals present at the site were either injured or dispersed following the operation.
Among the neutralized operatives, one individual has been identified as Aziz, while efforts are underway to confirm the identity of the second operative through established verification procedures.
Authorities stated that the targeted group was actively involved in destabilizing activities in the region and was using difficult terrain to coordinate and execute unlawful operations against state institutions and civilian populations.
Following the air engagement, security forces maintained heightened surveillance in the surrounding areas to ensure no further threat remained. A follow-up clearance and intelligence-based assessment operation is ongoing to track any fleeing Fitna al-Khawarij elements and eliminate residual risk.
Officials emphasized that such precision-based operations are part of a sustained counterterrorism strategy aimed at dismantling Fitna al-Khawarij networks operating in remote and inaccessible regions. The use of intelligence-driven targeting reflects the commitment of security forces to minimizing collateral risk while effectively neutralizing threats.
Security authorities reiterated that operations against Fitna al-Khawarij will continue with full intensity until complete peace and stability are restored in South Waziristan and across the region.
