Security Forces Close In on Khawarij Hideout in D.I Khan, Two Eliminated

Security Forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in the elimination of two Khawarij militants, according to official sources.

The operation was carried out by the elite “Al-Buraq” commandos on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants belonging to Fitna-al-Khawarij in the area. The targeted action was part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and restoring lasting peace in the region.

During the precise and coordinated operation, security forces effectively engaged the identified hideout, resulting in an intense exchange of fire. As a result, two Khawarij militants were neutralized on the spot.

Security officials confirmed that the operation was conducted with professionalism and tactical precision, ensuring minimal risk to civilians in the surrounding areas. A clearance and sanitization operation was subsequently launched to eliminate any remaining threat and secure the locality.

The eliminated militants were reportedly involved in activities against state institutions and were part of the broader network of Fitna-al-Khawarij operating in the region. Authorities have reiterated that such elements are actively being targeted under the national counter-terrorism campaign.

Following the operation, security forces cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to recover any weapons, communication equipment, or other materials linked to the network. Intelligence-based follow-up actions are also underway to trace possible facilitators and remaining associates of the group.

Officials emphasized that operations under the national security framework continue with full force to eliminate the menace of terrorism from all parts of the country. The success of such targeted operations reflects the resolve and operational readiness of Pakistan’s security forces in countering extremist threats.
