FC Shanawari Fort Attack Foiled in Hangu, 5–6 Terrorists Eliminated or Injured

A terrorist attack on Frontier Corps Fort Shanauri in Hangu was foiled when security forces swiftly responded to firing on surveillance equipment installed at the facility.

According to security sources, terrorists opened fire on a surveillance camera at FC Fort Shanawari in the jurisdiction of Doaba. The firing prompted an immediate and forceful response from security personnel stationed at the fort.

An exchange of fire ensued, during which security forces engaged the attackers.

In the retaliatory action, 5 to 6 terrorists were killed or injured during the engagement. The attack was successfully repelled, preventing any breach of the installation.

No confirmed loss of life among security personnel has been reported.

Following the incident, security in the surrounding area was reinforced and additional forces were deployed. Clearance operations were initiated to secure the vicinity and prevent any further threat activity.
