Terrorists of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), declared by the state as Fitna al-Khwarij, brutally martyred the kidnapped Rangers personnel in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district, in yet another barbaric act aimed at spreading fear and intimidation.

According to sources, the victim, identified as Faridullah, was serving in Pakistan Rangers in Karachi and had returned to his hometown on leave when he was abducted by terrorists a few days ago.

Sources said the terrorists shifted him to an undisclosed location after the abduction.

On Tuesday, the terrorists reportedly martyred him in the Pezu area of Lakki Marwat and later released a video of the gruesome act in an apparent attempt to spread panic and propaganda.

The brutal killing has triggered strong anti-terrorist sentiments among local residents, who have condemned the incident and demanded immediate and decisive action against the perpetrators.

Residents urged the government and security forces to bring the enemies of humanity and the country to their logical end.

The incident comes amid intensified counter-terrorism operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where security forces have recently eliminated and neutralized several Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists in intelligence-based operations.

Analysts say such acts of brutality may reflect desperation among terrorist groups facing increasing operational pressure and public rejection in the region.
