The Hati Khel tribe convened a significant jirga (tribal assembly) under the leadership of Malik Tawai Khan, issuing a firm and unified declaration against terrorism and any attempts to destabilize the region. During the gathering, tribal elders reiterated that the Hati Khel community seeks no conflict with any group; however, they stressed that any aggression directed toward their people would be met with resistance as a matter of necessity and self-preservation.
The jirga expressed deep concern over the prevailing security situation and strongly criticized armed terrorist elements operating in the region, referring to them as “paid operatives” rather than ideologically driven actors. Participants questioned the legitimacy of such groups, alleging that their actions are motivated by financial incentives rather than stated ideological objectives.
The tribal leadership emphasized that the people of Hati Khel will not allow their dignity, honor, or safety to be compromised under any circumstances. They further stated that any hostile action against their community would be met with a collective and unified response.
Speaking at the jirga, elders called for transparency and challenged terrorist actors to engage in open confrontation rather than covert operations, stating that intimidation tactics against civilians would not be tolerated.
The assembly also highlighted concerns over external interference and attempts to influence local dynamics, warning against any actions that could escalate tensions in the region. Leaders urged all stakeholders to respect tribal autonomy and avoid targeting innocent civilians.
Reaffirming their position, the jirga declared that the Hati Khel tribe remains committed to defending its people and preserving peace within its territory, while rejecting any form of coercion or violence imposed from outside. The gathering concluded with a renewed pledge of unity among tribal members and a call for stability, urging all parties to pursue peaceful and lawful means for resolving disputes.
