The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has released its latest quarterly security report, outlining key statistics on terrorism-related incidents, counterterrorism operations, and casualties across the province.
According to the report, a total of 475 terrorism cases were registered across 14 districts during the reporting period. Authorities confirmed that 85 militants were killed in various security operations conducted by law enforcement agencies.
The report states that 1,427 individuals were nominated in terrorism-related cases, while 107 suspects were arrested during ongoing investigations and targeted operations. In addition, 1,235 individuals have been placed on the Fourth Schedule as part of enhanced monitoring and surveillance measures.
Officials emphasized that these measures are part of broader counterterrorism efforts aimed at disrupting militant networks and preventing further incidents.
The quarterly data also highlights significant human losses among civilians and security personnel. According to the report, 67 civilians were killed and 298 injured in terrorism-related incidents during the period under review.
Among security forces, the report records the martyrdom of personnel across multiple agencies. A total of 27 personnel from the Frontier Corps were martyred, with 45 injured. Additionally, 21 personnel from other security forces lost their lives, while 66 sustained injuries.
The police force also bore heavy losses, with 71 personnel martyred and 68 injured in various attacks and operations across the province.
The report identifies Bannu as the most affected district, with 92 reported incidents of terrorism. It was followed by North Waziristan with 88 incidents, and Dera Ismail Khan with 65 incidents.
Officials noted that these regions continue to face persistent security challenges due to militant activity, requiring sustained intelligence-based operations and coordinated law enforcement responses.
Police authorities reiterated their commitment to strengthening counterterrorism operations, improving intelligence sharing, and enhancing coordination among security institutions. They emphasized that targeted operations will continue in high-risk districts to dismantle militant networks and restore long-term stability.
The report underscores both the scale of security challenges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to counter militant threats while maintaining public safety.
