Security forces responded swiftly and decisively to a terrorist presence reported along the Dashtuk–Turbat Highway near Gishardan on 19 April 2026, successfully thwarting a potential threat to civilian life and restoring safety to the area.
According to official sources, intelligence reports indicated the movement of militants affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan (FAH) in the vicinity. Prior to engagement, the terrorists set fire to two civilian vehicles, causing damage and creating panic among commuters. No civilian casualties have been reported at this stage.
In immediate response, combat teams of the Frontier Corps (FC) were deployed to intercept the militants. Upon contact, security forces engaged the terrorists in a precise and effective operation. Initial reports confirm that four to five terrorists were neutralized during the encounter.
Following the engagement, the remaining militants fled the scene. Security forces conducted a thorough sweep of the area to ensure complete clearance and eliminate any residual threat. The Dashtuk–Turbat Highway has since been secured and reopened for normal traffic.
Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region. “The swift response of our forces demonstrates unwavering resolve to protect civilians and counter all forms of terrorism,” an official spokesperson stated.
